After 39 minutes of play, Guardizela FC's Bernardo Freitas made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogério Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guardizela FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Almeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Almeida was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ricardo Valente's late challenge caught a Guardizela FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Valente helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, Mugideira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Valente to maneuver through the defense. If Paulo Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Paulo Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Rocha succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 66th playminute.
