Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rui Aleixo made the kick off and thus started the match. Rui Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alves having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Canicos FC's zone, Rui Aleixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alves came out of the goal and Rui Aleixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Lamacais's Rui Aleixo got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 11 minutes, Sebastião Valente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Lamacais and the Canicos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Sebastião Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Moreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Pedro Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canicos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Lamacais's Hugo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Aguiar in the 23rd minute of play. In the 31st minute Pedro Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Sebastião Valente fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sebastião Valente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Carlos Alves made a huge save. With a little luck, Canicos FC's Carlos Alves got control of the ball when Sebastião Valente tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Aguiar to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Carlos Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastião Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alves having to interfere. If Rui Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Ramos's late challenge caught a SC Lamacais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Canicos FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Paulo Ramos hit a great ball. SC Lamacais's Sebastião Valente suffered a concussion after 68 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sérgio Pires during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for SC Lamacais. Lúcio Barbosa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carlos Alves. 2-1. Rui Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Carlos Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Carlos Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Lamacais fans cheered their team off the field, for while Canicos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
