Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Melo's Amílcar Macedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucas Pinho's late challenge caught a SC Lamacais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Pinho helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Melo got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Pinho. After recieving a nice pass, SC Lamacais's Lúcio Barbosa tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Sebastião Valente made a precise shot to the right of Tiago Branco. Melo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Melo booed when SC Lamacais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Pereira in the 18th minute. When Melo's Vicente Pereira, in the 21st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Melo. Eusébio Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Hugo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílcar Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Amílcar Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amílcar Macedo in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Moreira saved SC Lamacais from getting behind. SC Lamacais's Hugo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Macedo in the 42nd minute of play. The Melo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Lamacais were winning 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Aleixo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastião Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Branco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rui Aleixo went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Rui Aleixo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amílcar Macedo took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Moreira. Hugo Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Tiago Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Aleixo in the 78th minute of play. Adolfo Carvalho's late challenge caught a Melo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. SC Lamacais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melo the free kick. Amílcar Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Moreira having to interfere. When Vicente Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Melo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Pereira couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Amílcar Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Chants of SC Lamacais echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Melo had held the ball for most of the match.
