After a defensive mix-up in Brasil FC's zone, Jorge Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Soares came out of the goal and Jorge Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Brasil FC's Manuel Fonseca got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Jorge Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hombres booed when Brasil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Duarte Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Ferro kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If David Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Duarte Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Hombres's goalkeeper Duarte Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Santos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Miranda in the 37th minute of play forced Brasil FC's goalkeeper Manuel Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes, Eusébio Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hombres and the Brasil FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th minute, Eusébio Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 played minutes, Brasil FC's Joaquim Leão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Duarte Melo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brasil FC reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gil Miranda made the kick off in the second half. Manuel Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Miranda in the 53rd minute of play. Albertino Valente's late challenge caught a Brasil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertino Valente helped the player get up and apologised. Duarte Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Brasil FC's Filipe Faria in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Manuel Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Duarte Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Santos went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Brasil FC's Manuel Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Brasil FC from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Filipe Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 89 minutes, Gil Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hombres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Manuel Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hombres players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brasil FC.
