Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vítor Lopes started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Carlos Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Ardido's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matriz FC the free kick. Alexandre Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes SC Ardido got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Magalhães. If Catarino Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Matriz FC's zone, Catarino Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Figueiredo came out of the goal and Catarino Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Inácio Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matriz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Vítor Lopes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Queirós was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 25 played minutes Matriz FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Pereira. João Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute João Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Óscar Mendes's late challenge caught a Matriz FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Óscar Mendes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Ardido's Óscar Mendes got a free kick in the 44th minute. Inácio Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when João Leal made the kick off in the second half. Catarino Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Figueiredo having to interfere. Vítor Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Artur Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Catarino Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd minute João Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Queirós came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Matriz FC's Inácio Brito. But to his dismay, Inácio Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. SC Ardido's Artur Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Brito in the 90th minute of play. João Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Figueiredo having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Matriz FC had won after a very even match.
