Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Filipe Faria got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Inácio Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Lucas Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Filipe Faria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Figueiredo. Matriz FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filipe Faria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 14 minutes into the game, Bernardo Pereira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matriz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brasil FC the free kick. A collision led to Matriz FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Bernardo Pereira hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Brasil FC's Filipe Faria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucas Figueiredo. Lucas Figueiredo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Inácio Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Manuel Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Lucas Figueiredo managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Brasil FC's David Santos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matriz FC's goalkeeper Lucas Figueiredo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Matriz FC's goalkeeper Lucas Figueiredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Santos. If Filipe Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Figueiredo having to interfere. When Alexandre Neto fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matriz FC's protests and gave Alexandre Neto a yellow card for diving instead. Alexandre Neto hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Lopes to make the kick off. If Vítor Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Brito in the 53rd minute. When Inácio Brito came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Matriz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Brito couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, José Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 57 minutes, Vítor Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matriz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inácio Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Soares having to interfere. Vítor Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 67 minutes into the match, Brasil FC's goalkeeper Manuel Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vítor Lopes. If Vítor Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Barbosa's late challenge caught a Brasil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inácio Brito got free with Manuel Soares in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Inácio Brito struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Manuel Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matriz FC. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
