Paiois FC's Artur Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Catarino Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Joaquim Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Artur Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Trindade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Joaquim Trindade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paiois FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Delgado during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Paiois FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Bruno Delgado hit a great ball. Viriato Fonseca was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Sérgio Moniz scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Adelino Brás came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Paiois FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Brás couldn't finish the play. Hélder Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, Paiois FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Brás to maneuver through the defense. Viriato Fonseca, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 36 minutes, Catarino Almeida made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Anagueis FC's Joaquim Trindade tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Delgado kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Viriato Fonseca sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Paiois FC's João Lima didn't even have to move. If Artur Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder Amorim to make the kick off. If Catarino Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Trindade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes, Humberto Amaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anagueis FC and the Paiois FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Humberto Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Trindade made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Artur Ribeiro sent off a good shot on target. Adelino Brás hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Joaquim Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Almeida in the 71st minute of play. In the 79th minute, Hélder Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Joaquim Trindade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Paulo Viana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paiois FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anagueis FC the free kick. After 92 played minutes Paiois FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Viana. Hélder Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Lima having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Paiois FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Anagueis FC.
