Rui Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tomás Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulgueira's Tomás Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Paiva in the 29th minute of play. Luís Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Filipe Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rui Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ulgueira booed when SC Bemposta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 56th minute, SC Bemposta's Armindo Pires ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomás Baptista. Tomás Baptista yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Viegas in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Anjos saved SC Bemposta from getting behind. Armindo Pires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomás Baptista having to make a save. In the 63rd play minute Rui Paiva came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tomás Baptista. 2-2. In the 69th minute Marco Pedroso suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 70th match minute, SC Bemposta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Paiva to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the game, Ulgueira's André Borges nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filipe Anjos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When Rui Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the SC Bemposta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Paiva couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ulgueira getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Daniel Assis hit a great ball. Armindo Pires struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Tomás Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Bemposta. Rui Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Bemposta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ulgueira.
