After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ulgueira! The referee gave Valbemfeito FC a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ricardo Leite, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ulgueira's Tomás Baptista. 1-0. The supporters of Ulgueira booed when Valbemfeito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Viegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 20th play minutes Sebastião Gaspar shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Tomás Baptista and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 24th match minute, Ulgueira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. When Sebastião Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Valbemfeito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Gaspar couldn't finish the play. Tomás Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Dantas in the 29th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Jesus during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Abel Jesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the game, one of Ulgueira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Viegas was the one to do the kick off. In the 66th minute, Luís Viegas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Ferreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 70 minutes, Sebastião Gaspar made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ulgueira's Tomás Baptista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Luís Viegas took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Bernardo Ferreira to make any attempt to save it. Luís Viegas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-3 to the left of a surprised Bernardo Ferreira 79 minutes into the match. Valbemfeito FC's Bernardo Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Viegas in the 86th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filipe Figueiredo during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filipe Figueiredo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Ulgueira were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Valbemfeito FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line.
