Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling António Moutinho in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Assunção prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, SC Fadagosa's André Viana got a free kick in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Lourenço Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Lapela's supporters rose to their feet, but Lourenço Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Assunção breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Fadagosa's Simão Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Neto in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of SC Fadagosa booed when SC Lapela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingos Coelho struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Rodrigo Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Fadagosa. Rodrigo Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Coelho in the 38th minute of play. Rodrigo Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. SC Lapela's Rodrigo Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Lapela from getting a goal against them. After 53 played minutes SC Lapela got a freekick which was hit by Artur Martins. 63 minutes into the game, one of SC Lapela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. António Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. João Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Bruno Paredes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Lapela and the SC Fadagosa players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of SC Lapela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Fadagosa:s goal. In the 81st match minute, SC Fadagosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Viana to maneuver through the defense. Amílcar Leal charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amílcar Leal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes SC Fadagosa got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Leal. SC Lapela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duarte Brás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Domingos Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rodrigo Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 101st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Castro having to interfere. SC Fadagosa's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
