The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, SC Eidos's goalkeeper Jorge Macedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Branco. Júlio Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luís Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Torno booed when SC Eidos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Torno's Alexandre Almeida slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorge Macedo. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. Luís Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jorge Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Eidos's Júlio Martins got a free kick in the 40th minute. Jorge Macedo came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Torno's Alexandre Almeida. But to his dismay, Alexandre Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Almeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernardo Veiga in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of André Ferro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When SC Torno's Alexandre Almeida in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Eidos's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, SC Eidos's Raul Oliveira got a free kick in the 56th minute. Alexandre Almeida struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Jorge Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Torno. Luís Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Eidos's Jorge Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Almeida in the 60th minute of play. SC Torno's Alexandre Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Macedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Branco ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorge Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Branco in the 68th minute of play. Luís Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberto Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Manuel Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Macedo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Alexandre Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Torno's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. António Guerreiro kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Torno fully deserved thier win.
