After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Eduardo Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cortegaca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Cortegaca FC's zone, Fábio Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Nogueira came out of the goal and Fábio Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Gomes in the 15th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Ricardo Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 18 played minutes Eduardo Gomes rounded SC Devesas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. When SC Devesas's Fábio Castro in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cortegaca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Fábio Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The Cortegaca FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Devesas were winning 2-3.

The wind increased when Luís Neves made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Luís Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cortegaca FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Cândido Matos hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Luís Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Nogueira was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Neves in the 74th minute of play forced Cortegaca FC's goalkeeper Nuno Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cortegaca FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Devesas's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Devesas.
