António Resende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Leiria in the 10th minute of play. If Jacinto Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Marques in the 15th minute of play forced Lordelo FC's goalkeeper António Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Comoros FC's Júlio Leiria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that António Resende narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacinto Marques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without António Resende having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Júlio Leiria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Resende was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. António Resende didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Leiria went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Comoros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lordelo FC the free kick. Miguel Luz hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match.
The wind increased when Tomás Morais made the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Comoros FC's goalkeeper Jaime Simões, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Comoros FC's zone, Tomás Morais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Simões came out of the goal and Tomás Morais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vítor Matias charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Matias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Comoros FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Lordelo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lordelo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. António Gomes ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Comoros FC's corner António Gomes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and António Resende quite easily take care of the ball. Tomás Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Comoros FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
