After 5 played minutes Comoros FC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Morais. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Jacinto Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Comoros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duarte Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Amaral got free with Jaime Simões in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Júlio Leiria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duarte Leite was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Francisco Borba hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. SC Mourual's Francisco Borba shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 22nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jaime Simões but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Monteiro during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Mourual's Emanuel Monteiro got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Marques in the 25th minute of play forced SC Mourual's goalkeeper Duarte Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Marques in the 26th minute of the match. Fernando Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Emanuel Monteiro got his second yellow card in the match during the 28th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Emanuel Monteiro hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. António Gomes, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Daniel Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the SC Mourual fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Amaral couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Daniel Amaral put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jaime Simões. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto Marques to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Daniel Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Comoros FC's Jaime Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Amaral in the 93rd minute of play. Fernando Branco took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Simões. Jaime Simões dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Comoros FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Mourual.
