Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Taboneira's Pedro Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Torres in the 3rd minute of play. Ricardo Gueifão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Trindade, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Alexandre Guarda's late challenge caught a Soajo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Guarda helped the player get up and apologised. Alexandre Guarda hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Soajo's Daniel Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Soajo's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Trindade came free, but Ricardo Gueifão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Anjos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 19 played minutes SC Taboneira got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Lima. Daniel Fonseca came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pedro Mendes could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Fonseca got free with Pedro Mendes in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Gueifão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Pires in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Trindade in the 24th minute of play forced Soajo's goalkeeper Ricardo Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. António Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Sebastião Trindade notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Soajo's Ricardo Gueifão. Ricardo Gueifão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Sebastião Trindade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Gueifão was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Daniel Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Pedro Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Anjos to make the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Taboneira fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Soajo. Abel Neves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pedro Mendes. 1-2. Alexandre Guarda kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Abel Neves, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Sebastião Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Taboneira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Trindade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Daniel Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soajo's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sebastião Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ricardo Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Gueifão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Pires in the 77th minute. SC Taboneira's Afonso Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Pedro Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soajo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Anjos in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Mendes saved SC Taboneira from getting behind. Soajo's Ricardo Gueifão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Soajo from getting a goal against them. Pedro Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Anjos in the 92nd minute of play. When Afonso Pires fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Taboneira's protests and gave Afonso Pires a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Taboneira's Afonso Pires got a free kick in the 97th minute. The supporters of SC Taboneira booed when Soajo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Taboneira eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
