With a little luck, SC Recoutas's Viriato Rocha got control of the ball when Hélder Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Recoutas's Gabriel Aleixo got a free kick in the 5th minute. António Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Oliveira Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolfo Fontes in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viriato Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. António Matos struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Oliveira Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Recoutas. Viriato Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SC Recoutas's Bento Vale got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 25th minute, Pedro Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Fontes in the 28th minute of play forced SC Recoutas's goalkeeper Viriato Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SC Recoutas getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Gabriel Aleixo hit a great ball. Hélder Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Rocha having to interfere. Oliveira Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Magalhães in the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, António Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Recoutas's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oliveira Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Matos in the 41st minute of play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Adolfo Fontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Recoutas's Viriato Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adolfo Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Rocha having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. António Matos was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Matos in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliveira Aguiar saved Carrapateira FC from getting behind. If António Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If André Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Recoutas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Recoutas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
