Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The audience was convinced that Gustavo Gomes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Tavares was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Rui Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lalim FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Guarda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Barrinho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bento Fontes was slow to take the kick. During this time Lalim FC's players had a chance to rest. SC Barrinho's Carlos Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Moutinho in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th minute Rui Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Veiga's late challenge caught a SC Barrinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Veiga helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Lalim FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Veiga. Lucas Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Lalim FC's Lucas Tavares got control of the ball when Daniel Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Fernando Jesus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Barrinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lalim FC the free kick. After 34 played minutes SC Barrinho got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Jesus. 35 minutes into the match, Rui Guarda notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Barrinho's Carlos Machado. Carlos Machado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When Gustavo Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the SC Barrinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Gomes couldn't finish the play. In the 56th match minute, Lalim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Neves to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Lucas Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Lalim FC got a freekick which was hit by David Viegas. After a rather tough play, SC Barrinho's Afonso Almeida got a free kick in the 64th minute. SC Barrinho's Carlos Machado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save SC Barrinho from getting a goal against them. After having played for 68 minutes, Rui Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lalim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Guarda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Lalim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Gomes came free, but Lucas Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Marco Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, SC Barrinho's goalkeeper Carlos Machado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Moutinho. Rui Guarda struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Carlos Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lalim FC. Lalim FC's Lucas Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Gomes in the 89th minute of play. If Luís Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Lalim FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lalim FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
