Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cândido Guerreiro kicked off to start the match. Adolfo Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Faria having to make a save. Adolfo Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Rocha during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Sisimbra got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Rocha. In the 11th minute of the match, Cândido Guerreiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adolfo Faria saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 12th minute, Xavier Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolfo Faria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Faria in the 14th minute. After 15 minutes of play Sisimbra's Pedro Rocha was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of SC Cidade booed when Sisimbra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Faria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Faria went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Pedro Faria came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the SC Cidade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Faria couldn't finish the play. Cândido Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Faria having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Ferro in the 46th minute of play forced SC Cidade's goalkeeper Álvaro Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cândido Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Adolfo Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Sisimbra's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Guerreiro came free, but Adolfo Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When SC Cidade's Cândido Guerreiro in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cidade's zone, Alberto Ferro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Lisboa came out of the goal and Alberto Ferro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to SC Cidade getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Rogério Leiria hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Alberto Ferro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Álvaro Lisboa, 2-1. Cândido Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Adolfo Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sisimbra's zone, Pedro Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Faria came out of the goal and Pedro Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Ferro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Álvaro Lisboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Sisimbra booed when SC Cidade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Cândido Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
