Rui Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Monteiro in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Sebastião Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th match minute, Pombais FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Forninhos's Rui Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Monteiro in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Pombais FC booed when Forninhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Brás didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pombais FC's Bernardo Guarda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Forninhos. In the 24th minute Nuno Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by David Ribeiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Barros in the 35th minute of play forced Forninhos's goalkeeper Rui Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Gonçalo Barros made a precise shot to the right of Rui Vale. Forninhos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gonçalo Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Brás, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pombais FC's zone, Nuno Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Pinho came out of the goal and Nuno Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastião Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Sebastião Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pombais FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. David Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Pinho having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Forninhos's zone, Gonçalo Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Vale came out of the goal and Gonçalo Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Forninhos's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Monteiro came free, but Rui Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastião Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonçalo Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Ribeiro in the 96th minute of play. Pombais FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
