SC Cidade's Álvaro Lisboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save SC Cidade from getting a goal against them. Gonçalo Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Álvaro Lisboa made a huge save. Álvaro Lisboa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bernardo Guarda. Gonçalo Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Cidade's Álvaro Lisboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save SC Cidade from getting a goal against them. Cândido Alves hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Pombais FC's Bernardo Guarda broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Pedro Faria struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Gonçalo Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cidade. If Pedro Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pombais FC's Gonçalo Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Leiria in the 34th minute of play. After 34 played minutes Pombais FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Guarda. In the 36th minute, Eusébio Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Pombais FC booed when SC Cidade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cândido Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Coimbra charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Coimbra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abel Coimbra kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Gonçalo Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th match minute, SC Cidade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Leiria to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Álvaro Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Barros in the 55th minute of play. Pedro Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Gonçalo Pinho made a huge save. If Sebastião Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pombais FC's Gonçalo Pinho got control of the ball when Pedro Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 72 minutes, Cândido Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cidade's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cândido Guerreiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonçalo Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Cidade's Cândido Alves got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Cândido Alves off the ground. In the 77th minute, Cândido Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastião Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Álvaro Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Álvaro Lisboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Veiga in the 83rd minute of the match. José Veiga got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After having played for 92 minutes, Gonçalo Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pombais FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
