Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Jesus made the kick off and thus started the match. Ricardo Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jorge Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 6 minutes, Pedro Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escouras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Jesus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Resende in the 9th minute of play. When Luís Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Escouras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Carneiro couldn't finish the play. If Ricardo Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jorge Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Ricardo Vieira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Araújo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 35th match minute, Escouras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Brito to maneuver through the defense. After 44 minutes of play, Malcata's Ricardo Vieira made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Araújo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Vieira to make the kick off. A nice corner shot did that Ricardo Vieira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jorge Araújo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 80th minute, Luís Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Escouras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 84th minute, Ricardo Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Carneiro in the 92nd minute of the match. Malcata's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
