Quelfes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malcata the free kick. The supporters of Malcata booed when Quelfes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Malcata's Cláudio Cabral couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. In the 24th minute Miguel Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Malcata! The referee gave Quelfes FC a penalty, 27 minutes into the game.
