The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tozeiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Artur Borba made a kick off. Afonso Pacheco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. With a little luck, Mendares FC's Lúcio Correia got control of the ball when Paulo Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mendares FC's João Rocha got a free kick in the 87th minute. Tozeiro FC's Ricardo Brito couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mendares FC. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
