In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tozeiro FC's goalkeeper Cândido Neto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Artur Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Artur Borba made the kick off in the second half. When Paulo Borges came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Tozeiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Borges couldn't finish the play. Jaime Oliveira took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cândido Neto. Cândido Neto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After having played for 64 minutes, Paulo Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 87th minute, Tozeiro FC's Ricardo Brito seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ricardo Brito the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tozeiro FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ricardo Brito had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tozeiro FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! If Jaime Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeu Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gabriel FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
