Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cristóvão Barbosa took the kick off in the first half of the match. Duarte Correia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Américo Pereira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Junqueira FC's Rogério Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fábio Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Carnapata FC's Cristóvão Trindade got a free kick in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Carnapata FC's zone, Fábio Viegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Pereira came out of the goal and Fábio Viegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fábio Viegas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Américo Pereira made a huge save. Rodrigo Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Gil Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carnapata FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Amaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 30 minutes, Duarte Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Junqueira FC and the Carnapata FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Junqueira FC's Duarte Correia got a free kick in the 30th minute. Gil Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rodrigo Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Ferreira having to interfere. Junqueira FC's Rodrigo Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Barbosa in the 39th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Lucas Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carnapata FC! The referee gave Junqueira FC a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carlos Gomes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Carnapata FC's Américo Pereira. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rogério Gueifão made the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Ferreira came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Carnapata FC's Gil Amaro. But to his dismay, Gil Amaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Rogério Gueifão took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Américo Pereira. Américo Pereira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Cristóvão Trindade hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Gomes during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, André Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Antunes didn't quite understand what happened when in the 84 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Gil Amaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Rodrigo Ferreira made a huge save. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Junqueira FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Ferreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristóvão Trindade's late challenge caught a Junqueira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristóvão Trindade helped the player get up and apologised. In the 98th minute, Cristóvão Trindade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Rogério Gueifão in the 99th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
