Filipe Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Vieira in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Maxial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

If Nuno Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Pedregosa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Pedregosa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
