The tension between the SC Borralha and the Lagarteira players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Joel Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Miguel Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Trindade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Miguel Reis made a huge save. SC Borralha's Afonso Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lagarteira's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Ribeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Borralha's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Mariano Ribeiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Miguel Reis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Albertino Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st match minute, SC Borralha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, SC Borralha's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Amorim came free, but Tomás Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, José Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Borralha's supporters rose to their feet, but José Trindade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albertino Monteiro made a kick off. Tomás Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Amorim in the 52nd minute. A collision led to SC Borralha getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Rui Fernandes hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, SC Borralha's goal looked a bit too open when Albertino Monteiro came free, but Tomás Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Brito in the 74th minute of the match.
