Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pedro Delgado started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Freiao's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Borges came free, but Gabriel Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Freiao's Rui Santos got a free kick in the 7th minute. Freiao's Marco Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaspar Matos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Paulo Vale made a huge save. Corticois's Paulo Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Corticois from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Corticois's zone, Sandro Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Vale came out of the goal and Sandro Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaspar Matos struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Paulo Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freiao. The supporters of Freiao booed when Corticois was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaspar Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Paulo Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Gaspar Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Freiao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspar Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaspar Matoss short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Paulo Vale to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 48th match minute, Corticois was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. When Gaspar Matos got free in front of the goal in the 49th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Paulo Vale was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandro Mendes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Mendes in the 55th minute of play forced Corticois's goalkeeper Paulo Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Corticois's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Mendes came free, but Paulo Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Matos in the 60th minute of play. Ricardo Borgess short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Gabriel Gonçalves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sandro Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaspar Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Vale having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Freiao's goalkeeper Gabriel Gonçalves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Moutinho. 83 minutes into the match, Gaspar Matos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Vale. Corticois's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Matos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 91stth minute of the game Sandro Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corticois's Paulo Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rui Santos's late challenge caught a Corticois's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Santos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd match minute, Freiao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Santos to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Freiao players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
