With a little luck, Bengado's Manuel Azevedo got control of the ball when António Matias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Afonso Azevedo could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Manuel Azevedo however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, José Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tourim's supporters rose to their feet, but José Aleixo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Matias got free with Manuel Azevedo in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lúcio Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Brás, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Augusto Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengado's Manuel Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Bengado from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, José Aleixo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manuel Azevedo. The goal made the score 1-1. When António Matias came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tourim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Matias couldn't finish the play. José Aleixo might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Aleixo ran back to his position shaking his head.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael Brás to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Rafael Brás took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Lúcio Antunes to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Tourim's zone, Adolfo Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Antunes came out of the goal and Adolfo Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basílio Melo got free with Lúcio Antunes in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Leão in the 65th minute of play forced Tourim's goalkeeper Lúcio Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Tourim's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Brás came free, but Lúcio Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Basílio Melo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lúcio Antunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 76th minute António Matias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lúcio Antunes made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Basílio Melo sent off a good shot on target. Augusto Leão hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Lúcio Antunes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rafael Brás showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 84 minute of play. Afonso Azevedo's late challenge caught a Bengado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Tourim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Tourim getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Afonso Azevedo hit a great ball. After 96 played minutes, Bengado's João Maia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lúcio Antunes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bengado reached it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bengado walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
