The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lourenço Vale in the 5th minute of play. Delfim Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Lisboa having to interfere. A collision led to Pesqueiro getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Delfim Amaral hit a great ball. SC Gralhas's Fernando Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Jesus in the 30th minute of play. Joaquim Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Assis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Porto charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Porto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Lourenço Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquim Maia was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Pesqueiro's Rui Henriques got a free kick in the 41st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lourenço Vale got free with Joaquim Maia in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 98 minutes into the match, SC Gralhas's goal looked a bit too open when João Antunes came free, but Fernando Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
