After a rather tough play, Mazes's Fernando Ribeiro got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Nuno Macedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mazes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Casalmaninho the free kick. Alexandre Pinho didn't quite understand what happened when in the 34 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. António Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Martins in the 38th minute of the match. António Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Artur Moreira made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Oliveira Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Casalmaninho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mazes the free kick. Artur Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Porto having to interfere. Mazes's António Porto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Mazes from getting a goal against them. Mazes's António Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Moreira in the 64th minute of play. Manuel Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Nunes in the 70th minute of play. Nuno Macedo got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. If Abel Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
