Cristóvão Paredes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílcar Nascimento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Vicente Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílcar Nascimento having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Figueiredo in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amílcar Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 8 played minutes Carnicais got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Lopes. Amílcar Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Paredes in the 13th minute of play. Vicente Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílcar Nascimento having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cristóvão Paredes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amílcar Nascimento was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Vicente Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Amílcar Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ricardo Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carnicais's protests and gave Ricardo Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Ricardo Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amílcar Nascimento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Pedro Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui Delgado made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Carnicais got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Cabral. In the 56th minute Daniel Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristóvão Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílcar Nascimento having to interfere. A collision led to SC Matanca getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Hélder Lopes hit a great ball. Hélder Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Sérgio Andrade took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Matos. SC Matanca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cristóvão Paredes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Amílcar Nascimento made a huge save. Rui Delgado struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Pedro Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carnicais. Cristóvão Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Amílcar Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
