An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Ramos in the 3rd minute of play forced Samonde's goalkeeper Cristiano Brás to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandro Fonseca hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes Courelas got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Ferreira. Tiago Dantas did an outstanding performance 12 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-0 to the right of an irritated Diamantino Vieira in the goal. Bruno Assis charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Assis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Courelas's Bruno Assis got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 26th minute Sandro Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cristiano Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Lima in the 68th minute of play. If Lourenço Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Courelas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Samonde.
