An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliveira Tavares in the 10th minute of play forced Espinho's goalkeeper Cláudio Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliveira Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Cláudio Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliveira Tavares in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Azevedo saved Espinho from getting behind. 18 minutes into the game, Daniel Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ordins's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espinho the free kick. Daniel Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Inácio Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Macedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ordins booed when Espinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cláudio Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Catarino Paiva sent off a good shot on target. When Catarino Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Ordins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Catarino Paiva couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the game, Jorge Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ordins's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espinho the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Ordins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Vaz to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Espinho's Cláudio Azevedo got control of the ball when Catarino Paiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xavier Almeida to make the kick off. With a little luck, Ordins's Duarte Gueifão got control of the ball when Inácio Macedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ordins's Catarino Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Azevedo hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Oliveira Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Cláudio Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Duarte Gueifão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inácio Macedo in the 76th minute. The goalkeeper, Duarte Gueifão, was totally fooled by Espinho's Júlio Rocha, who 82 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Espinho's goalkeeper Cláudio Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oliveira Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Azevedo having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Júlio Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ordins the free kick. Júlio Rocha hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
