The audience was convinced that Vasco Pacheco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Pereira was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Xavier Ferro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Filipe Moutinho made a huge save. In the 39th match minute, Salineiras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Moutinho to maneuver through the defense. Basílio Fernandess short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Filipe Moutinho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Basílio Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Filipe Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Xavier Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Salineiras FC's Pedro Dias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nuno Pereira. That made the score 1-1 after 57 minutes of play. Rabalde FC's Nuno Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Dias in the 62nd minute of play. Basílio Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
