Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Pesinho's Alberto Assis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in SC Pesinho's zone, Fernando Pedroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Cruz came out of the goal and Fernando Pedroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vítor Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Pedroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, SC Gesteira's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Assis came free, but Pedro Coimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasco Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Pedro Coimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Pedroso in the 18th minute of play. Vasco Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Coimbra having to interfere. A collision led to SC Pesinho getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Fernando Magalhães hit a great ball. SC Gesteira's Amílcar Aleixo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Pesinho. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasco Gomes got free with Pedro Coimbra in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alberto Assis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Pedro Coimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Gesteira's Luís Anjos got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Anjos was the one to do the kick off. If Vítor Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Gesteira's Fernando Pedroso came free and shot a quick shot against goal 54 minutes in the game, fortunately Vítor Cruz had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Vítor Cruz made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Fernando Pedroso sent off a good shot on target. Vítor Cruz came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Gesteira's Fernando Pedroso. But to his dismay, Fernando Pedroso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Diogo Amorim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Coimbra. SC Gesteira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, one of SC Gesteira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, SC Pesinho's Pedro Coelho got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 86th minute, Vasco Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Coimbra was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 91st minute Vasco Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Coimbra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 98 minutes into the game, Alberto Assis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Pedro Coimbra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SC Gesteira's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
