Fábio Cabral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rui Esteves went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Garrobo getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Adelino Guerreiro hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adelino Guerreiro during the 9th minute. Fábio Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Fábio Cabral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Miguel Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garrobo's Fábio Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Esteves in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Rui Esteves notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Garrobo's Fábio Cabral. Fábio Cabral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 33 played minutes SC Boxinos got a freekick which was hit by Gil Barbosa. Fábio Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Amaro in the 38th minute of the match. With his leg José Setúbal managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Garrobo's Nuno Cruz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 43 minutes, Rui Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Boxinos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nuno Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Francisco Dantas made the kick off in the second half. Fábio Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 63 minutes, Afonso Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garrobo and the SC Boxinos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Afonso Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 68 played minutes SC Boxinos got a freekick which was hit by Rui Esteves. When Francisco Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garrobo's protests and gave Francisco Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. SC Boxinos's José Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Cruz in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Garrobo booed when SC Boxinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Dantas took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Setúbal. José Setúbal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Miguel Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Fábio Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Boxinos's André Moniz got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Amaro took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fábio Cabral. Fábio Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Adelino Guerreiro kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. If Miguel Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
