If Emanuel Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21stth minute of the game Cristiano Guerreiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borreles FC's Rodrigo Valente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 22 played minutes Assento FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Martins. After 23 played minutes, Borreles FC's Pedro Matias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Basílio Santos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borreles FC reached it. The supporters of Assento FC booed when Borreles FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Borreles FC's Rodrigo Valente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Borreles FC from getting a goal against them. If Cristiano Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Valente made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Emanuel Matias sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Cristiano Guerreiro made the kick off in the second half. Assento FC's Cristiano Guerreiro got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusébio Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Borreles FC's Rodrigo Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Guerreiro in the 59th minute of play. If Cristiano Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Valente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Matias in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Lucas Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Matias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Valente was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Eusébio Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Basílio Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Melo during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Basílio Melo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Basílio Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Neves in the 97th minute of play.
