Domingos Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Moutinho during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diamantino Matias to make the kick off. Lucas Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Brito having to interfere. With a little luck, Saldonha FC's Sandro Morais got control of the ball when André Araújo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Diamantino Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saldonha FC's Sandro Morais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Matias in the 64th minute of play. Sandro Morais made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Araújo in the 72nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Ramalheira's André Araújo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sandro Morais. That made the score 1-1 after 72 minutes of play. In the 75th minute, André Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Ramalheira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diamantino Matias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute Carlos Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Ramalheira's Domingos Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Leão in the 89th minute of play. Tomás Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Lucas Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
