An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Mendes in the 12th minute of play forced Silva FC's goalkeeper João Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Mendes hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, SC Cabaca's goalkeeper Paulo Alves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Viegas. In the 23rd minute, João Viegas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silva FC's João Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Carneiro in the 26th minute of play. João Borba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Mendes's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. João Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Mendes in the 28th minute of the match. Rui Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Borba having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Silva FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Moniz to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Catarino Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Borba was relentless in the 50th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rui Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. Sebastião Fontes charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastião Fontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Silva FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Fontes. Silva FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rui Mendes 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. A collision led to SC Cabaca getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. António Andrade hit a great ball. Afonso Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Fontes in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Fontes in the 68th minute of play forced SC Cabaca's goalkeeper Paulo Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Borba made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Catarino Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Afonso Fontes sped through SC Cabaca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulo Alves. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Fontes in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Borba made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Catarino Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Sebastião Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silva FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, João Viegas put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Paulo Alves. Silva FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Cabaca for a fine match.
