Afonso Vale struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. André Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mossanto. Jaime Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Afonso Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Mossanto's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. André Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Abel Alves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachao's André Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. André Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Vale's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Abel Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Oliveira having to interfere. Miguel Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. António Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Moura in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. SC Mossanto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachao the free kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Mossanto had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
