Gualdim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Coimbra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Macanedo's Diamantino Torres got a free kick in the 19th minute. The supporters of SC Macanedo booed when Gualdim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, SC Macanedo's Cândido Andrade tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee gave SC Macanedo a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cândido Andrade, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gualdim's Rodrigo Coimbra. 0-1. José Pinho in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Afonso Anjos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 30th match minute, SC Macanedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Torres to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Coimbra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Fonseca in the 33rd minute of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodrigo Coimbra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rodrigo Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
