Luís Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 11 minutes into the game, one of Benagil FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 18th minute, Carlos Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Louroza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 27 minutes into the game, Pedro Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Benagil FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Louroza the free kick. In the 27th minute, Pedro Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Santarém was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Lourenço Assunção capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lourenço Assunção really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Lourenço Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Santarém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Ferreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Afonso Santarém stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Dias's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Afonso Aleixo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Eusébio Rocha made a huge save. In the 75th minute of the match, Carlos Ferreira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eusébio Rocha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to SC Louroza getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Nuno Veiga hit a great ball. Pedro Dias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Santarém read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Lourenço Assunção struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Afonso Santarém didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benagil FC. After a defensive mix-up in SC Louroza's zone, Lourenço Assunção stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Santarém came out of the goal and Lourenço Assunção tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Louroza's Afonso Aleixo suffered a concussion in the 84th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 85 minutes, Daniel Aguiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Benagil FC and the SC Louroza players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Louroza booed when Benagil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Santarém having to interfere. Afonso Santarém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Dias in the 92nd minute of the match. Afonso Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
