In the 2nd minute, Gustavo Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Branco made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Manuel Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrins's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coimbro the free kick. António Maia made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Bernardo Branco sent off a good shot on target. Bernardo Branco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, António Maia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bernardo Branco took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised António Maia. António Maia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Manuel Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Leite having to interfere. 70 minutes in the game, Bernardo Branco fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without António Maia having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Bernardo Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diamantino Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Vaz in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Leite saved Coimbro from getting behind. David Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Neto during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Álvaro Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Bernardo Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. David Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Coimbro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
