The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emanuel Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 5 minutes into the game, António Dantas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Teixeira. António Dantas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With his leg Carlos Teixeira managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when SC Nandufe's Emanuel Ferro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 14 minutes into the match, SC Ribeiras's goal looked a bit too open when António Dantas came free, but Carlos Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Gueifão's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Emanuel Ferros short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Carlos Teixeira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. António Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Teixeira having to interfere. Gustavo Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Carneiro having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Gueifão in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Dantas in the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Leal to make the kick off. If Inácio Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Leal in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute António Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57thth minute of the game António Dantas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Ribeiras's Carlos Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. António Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Gueifão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute of the match, Afonso Gueifão got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paulo Carneiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gustavo Leal was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 77th minute Emanuel Ferro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Nandufe's zone, Gustavo Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Carneiro came out of the goal and Gustavo Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, SC Nandufe's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Leal came free, but Paulo Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Afonso Gueifão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th minute of the match Lucas Reis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Carneiro skillfully saved the ball. Ricardo Cabral hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Gustavo Leal struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Paulo Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ribeiras. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Nandufe! SC Nandufe succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though SC Ribeiras had controlled the match.
