Szymon Maziarski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 17 minutes into the match, BESTIA GDAŃSK's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Leszek Huchro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bartosz Gad fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BESTIA GDAŃSK's protests and gave Bartosz Gad a yellow card for diving instead. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Victorio Bertin hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The tension between the Mexico and the BESTIA GDAŃSK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
