In the 5th minute, Joaquim Magalhães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Reigadinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 13 played minutes Reigadinha got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Nascimento. After 16 played minutes Arruda got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Sousa. With a little luck, Reigadinha's Óscar Anjos got control of the ball when Júlio Coelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arruda's Fernando Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Lopes in the 25th minute of play. In the 30th minute Joaquim Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Domingos Lopes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Júlio Coelho in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Óscar Anjos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 38 minutes into the match, Arruda's Júlio Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Óscar Anjos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute Domingos Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Domingos Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

André Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Domingos Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Arruda getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Sebastião Domingues hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Arruda's zone, Joaquim Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Amaral came out of the goal and Joaquim Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Magalhães in the 70th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Reigadinha defense, Júlio Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Óscar Anjos. The Reigadinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Óscar Anjos should have stopped the shot. Domingos Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Fernando Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joaquim Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Arruda's zone, Joaquim Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Amaral came out of the goal and Joaquim Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, André Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Reigadinha walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
