Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Adolfo Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Sonhim's zone, Adolfo Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Cardoso came out of the goal and Adolfo Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Aleixo in the 8th minute of the match. David Garcia hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, António Aleixo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Cardoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Cristiano Santarém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaspar Trindade in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Santarém saved Queimadela FC from getting behind. David Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Garcia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. David Garcia hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Cândido Leão was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Sá was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Queimadela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Sonhim the free kick. The supporters of SC Sonhim booed when Queimadela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, António Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queimadela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Aleixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Júlio Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 minutes, Lúcio Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Queimadela FC and the SC Sonhim players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Queimadela FC got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Magalhães. When SC Sonhim's David Costa in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Costa was the one to do the kick off. Cristiano Santarém didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Costa went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 57 minutes into the match, Adolfo Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Cardoso. SC Sonhim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolfo Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 61 minutes into the match, Queimadela FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Costa came free, but Cristiano Santarém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute David Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Santarém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Aleixo in the 64th minute of the match. When Gaspar Trindade came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the SC Sonhim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Trindade couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the match, SC Sonhim's David Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristiano Santarém narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristiano Santarém made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Gaspar Trindade sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th match minute, Queimadela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Matias to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Queimadela FC's Rui Paiva got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After 85 played minutes SC Sonhim got a freekick which was hit by David Garcia. If Adolfo Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute António Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Sonhim's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
