Joaquim Borges hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Hélder Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Borges in the 7th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Diogo Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dem FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Diogo Setúbal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armindo Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Alpedriz FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Manuel Guarda hit a great ball. The supporters of Alpedriz FC booed when Dem FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes Alpedriz FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Guarda. Dem FC's Manuel Melo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alpedriz FC. A collision led to Alpedriz FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Manuel Guarda hit a great ball. Vítor Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Vítor Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Hélder Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Nuno Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alpedriz FC and the Dem FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nuno Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Manuel Melo struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Armindo Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dem FC. Armindo Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Setúbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dem FC's Artur Ramos suffered a sore thigh after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 47th minute of the match Nuno Neves completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nuno Neves a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Alpedriz FC's Nuno Neves got a free kick in the 49th minute. Gonçalo Baptista's late challenge caught a Dem FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonçalo Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Alpedriz FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Gonçalo Baptista hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Vítor Castro made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Alpedriz FC defense, Diogo Setúbal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armindo Cunha. The Alpedriz FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armindo Cunha should have stopped the shot. Vítor Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Simões having to interfere. Manuel Guarda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dem FC's Diogo Setúbal got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute Diogo Setúbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Alpedriz FC's Jaime Bessa got a free kick in the 75th minute. A collision led to Alpedriz FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Vítor Assunção hit a great ball. Armindo Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Setúbal in the 78th minute of play. Armindo Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Setúbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 85 minutes into the match, Alpedriz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Setúbal came free, but Armindo Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armindo Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Setúbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Jorge Jesus from long distance, 96 minutes into the match, got Hélder Simões's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Armindo Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diogo Setúbal's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Alpedriz FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
