A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Hortinhas FC's Delfim Figueiredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Bessa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Vítor Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SC Numao getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Óscar Resende hit a great ball. When Hortinhas FC's Delfim Figueiredo in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Numao's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th match minute, Hortinhas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Amorim to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Hortinhas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joel Borges fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delfim Figueiredo to strike the kick off in the second half. Heitor Branco's late challenge caught a SC Numao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heitor Branco helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Hortinhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Branco. If Joel Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaspar Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Nogueira having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Joel Borges left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Numao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Xavier Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Paulo Resende took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for João Bessa. SC Numao's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 85th minute, one of SC Numao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Numao. Joel Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Vítor Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hortinhas FC's Humberto Cruz got a free kick in the 94th minute.
